👋 What is SteamItemTracker?
SteamItemTracker is a portfolio tracker for CS2 and Rust items. You follow the Steam Market prices of your items, organize them into portfolios, and see market value and profit/loss (after the Steam fee) at a glance. There is also a searchable database of 20,000+ CS2 items.
🚀 Quick start
Ready to go in under a minute:
- Pick the CS2 or Rust tab at the top.
- Search for an item and add it with “+”, or import your whole inventory at once.
- Enter your buy price (optionally sell price, quantity and fee too).
- Done — the tracker shows live market value and profit/loss.
📊 Tracker — core features
- Watchlist: each item as a row with icon, name, type and current market price.
- Portfolios: group items into multiple portfolios (e.g. “Investments”, “Trades”). The “All” tab aggregates every portfolio of a game.
- Per item: buy price, sell price, quantity and fee. From these the tracker computes realized and unrealized profit/loss after the Steam fee.
- Stat tiles at the top: item count, invested, market value, unrealized and realized.
- “Refresh prices” fetches the latest Steam Market prices.
💱 Prices & currencies
- 9 selectable currencies: EUR, USD, CHF, GBP, PLN, CAD, JPY, CNY, RUB.
- Displayed price = lowest current listing; the 30-day median is used as a fallback.
- Prices are cached and refreshed periodically in the background.
🎒 Inventory import
- Via Steam login (OpenID) or by entering your SteamID64.
- Your Steam inventory must be public for this.
- Default (unpainted) weapons, medals/collectibles and the C4 are filtered out automatically.
- Items you already track are detected and not added twice.
🎯 Float values
- For wear items (Factory New … Battle-Scarred) you can enter the float value per item manually.
- The float is used in the display and the “Float ↑/↓” sorting, and is saved with your data.
- Note: automatic float lookup is currently unavailable — the former CSFloat service was discontinued and the Steam inventory does not include float values.
📈 Price history (sparklines)
- A mini trend line per item from the last 30 days of prices (green = up, red = down).
- History builds up over time — brand-new items have no line yet.
🔔 Price alerts
- Available to logged-in users only.
- Bell button on an item → set a target price and direction (drops to ≤ or rises to ≥).
- When the market price hits your target you get an email; the alert then deactivates automatically.
🔎 Filters, sorting & pages
- Text search, wear filter and rarity filter (CS2: Consumer through Contraband).
- 10 sort options: added, name, float, buy price and market price — each ascending/descending.
- Pagination: 100, 250, 500 or 1000 items per page, navigate with Back/Next.
📁 Import & export
- CSV import (e.g. from other tools) and CSV export of the currently shown list.
- JSON backup (a complete export of all portfolios, items and trade data) and JSON restore.
🗃️ CS2 Skin Database
- A searchable database of 20,000+ CS2 items: skins, stickers, agents, cases and charms.
- Filter by collection, weapon, rarity and type.
👤 Account vs. guest
- Logged in: your data is stored in the cloud and synced across all your devices.
- As a guest: data lives only locally in this browser — no sync, and it can be lost when you clear the browser.
- Tip: back up guest data with a JSON backup before your first login.
